synopsis:

Anime is the term generally used for Japanese animation. Although many Americans believe that animation is always for children, this is not the case.

Specifically for romance, animation is an amazing medium. Much like the ability one has when reading a book to put oneself inside the character, so too in anime is the viewer left free to imagine. In other words, there is no hunk playing the lead guy like in Hollywood blockbusters (no matter how romantic the film may seem, I just can't picture myself looking as good as Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt).

So, anime provides one of the few chances for an average guy to put himself in the place of the "leading man." And, you really should try it, it's kinda fun!     Click a title on the left to begin.
