11.08.2008: Just a quick note: Hulu (http://www.hulu.com) has recently added three of the shows listed here to their site. At the link below you can find Shuffle!, Tsukuyomi (Moon Phase), and KimiNozo (Kimi ga Nozomu Eien). 09.22.2008: After taking a look at the fall anime lineup, the following shows show promise for romance:
October 1st -
ToraDora - Takusu Ryuuji is very kind, but his intimidating face gives him problems. He meets Aisaka Taiga who is know as the "hand-held Tiger" and lacks any friends or connection with her own family because of her temper. They begin a love hate relationship.
Rosario+Vampire - Capu2 - 2nd season
October 2nd -
Clannad:After Story - Sequel to Clannad exploring an additional story path in the game.
Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka - In order to protect Yuuhi Katagiri, a new transfer student, from danger, Junichi Nagase is forced to kiss her. Not understanding what happened, she screams at him to "just die", not knowing that her father has arranger for her to marry him.
October 4th -
Kemeko Deluxe - A chibi robot doll appears in the room of a typical high school boy. The robot claims the boy as her husband and then a beautiful girl comes out of the doll’s mouth who knows the boy from 10 years prior and had been promised his hand in marriage.
To Aru Majutsu no Index - Set in a city of scientifically advanced superhuman students, but in a world where magic is also real. Toma Kamijo’s right hand, the Imagine Breaker, will negate all magic, psychic, or divine powers, but not his own bad luck. One day he finds a young girl hanging on his balcony railing. She turns out to be a nun from the Church of England, and her mind has been implanted with the Index-Librorum-Prohibitorum - all the magical texts the Church has removed from circulation
October 5th -
Macademi Wasshoi! - Magician’s Academy revolves around Takuto Hasegawa, who attends a magic academy that is not marked on any map. During a summoning spell exam, he accidentally creates a girl named Tanarot, who happens to hold enough magical power to destroy his country, but fortunately Tanarot professes undying loyalty to her “creator".
08.26.2008: Given the absence for some months of previews on the site - not to mention additions and updates - now that I've reformulated the previews, I thought it prudent to provide a status report. Here goes...
1. Veoh.com sucks. They kept removing videos and eventually closed this site's account even after I sent copyright counter-notices up the wazoo.
2. All previews are now hosted by me. If they (the idiots who think my freely advertising their products for them is a bad thing) want the previews removed, they will have to go through me and actually prove they own the copyrights AND that posting them here doesn't constitute a "fair use" under U.S. law. Good luck with that.
3. Law school sucks. No, I barely have time to drink, much less add new shows, books, films, etc.
4. (last) Even though I don't have much free time, now that I've worked out the preview/trailer issue, I should be able to get back to adding to the site. As always, comments and suggestions are always welcome; just click on the contact link at the top of the page.

Now, given that most books published under the genre of 'romance' in the US are written for women, imagine if writers & publishers took advantage of this market and actually wrote and published romances for men...

According to research by Richard Harris, professor of psychology at Kansas State University, the United States, males enjoy watching romantic movies, too.
Harris says the results of his survey are surprising and go against common stereotypes.

06.25.2007: I know it's been a while and I'll admit that it'll probably be another month or two before regular updates are occurring, but to hold you over till then I've compiled a soon-to-be aired list of anime that may appeal to viewers of this site. Of course, since these shows haven't aired yet I can't guarantee their quality or the amount of romance content, but they are one's I'll definitely be checking out:
Nanatsuiro Drops - July 2nd
About a boy, who drinks juice that turns him into a stuffed animal whenever it gets dark. He has to collect Star Drops in order to return himself to normal, and to do it, he needs the help of a special magical girl from his class, but he can’t let her know about his identity or else he’ll be stuck as a stuffed animal forever.
Code-E - July 3rd
About a girl who radiates electromagnetic waves when her emotions run high, which of course makes it hard for her to use electronic devices. At her new school, she encounters a boy who wants to study her “TYPE-E” power. This is supposed to be a love-comedy.
School Days - July 3rd
School Days is based on a game from a couple of years ago that was popular for its large amount of animated sequences and its many different endings to a plot which involves a love triangle between a boy and two girls.
Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho - July 3rd
From ANN - Kaname Okimura, a student of Prefectoral Umineko Shougyou High (”Umisho” for short), joined the school’s swimming club in order to learn how to swim, but the club is filled with weirdos, let alone teach him swimming. Then, a sunny, happy-go-lucky girl named Amuro Ninagawa who was transferred from Okinawa joined the club. Her extraordinary underwater speed and unorthodox swimming style (plus her personal habit of nude swimming — a powerful magnet to teenage boys) surprised every club member, especially Okimura, because she reminds him a mermaid-like creature he saw only once in his early childhood.

05.01.2007: Help! I can't for the life of me find a freely reproducible synopsis of Da Capo and, even though I've seen it, I don't remember it well enough to write one myself.. So, if anyone knows of a 'free' synopsis or is able to write one up, please let me know (of course I'll give you credit).
